Dynamics CIA - 3

Hello everyone!
In this Dynamics for FX Subject for 3rd CIA, we learned all about Soft Bodies.

1.See-Saw

  • We started with creating the model and texture.
  • After that, We started with Dynamics.
  • select stone and ground make it passive bodies and tree, leaf, coconut, see-saw, and ball make it active bodies.
  • select the see-saw board - put Hinge Constrain (in the Middle)
  • Use Nail Constrain for Coconut.
  • In Ball use Attributes to Control the ball ( Velocity, Mass, Bounce)



2.Window

  • We started with creating the model and normal file texture.
  • After that, We started with Dynamics.
  • Select the Window and put Spring Constrain.
  • so it will act like spring front and back so because of that we need to use Nail Constrain to hold on from one side.
  • select the window frame and use passive bodies it won't pass through.
  • use attributes to control the window shattering with Stiffness



3.Ocean

  • create a plane with more divisions
    • soft bodies -> ◘Duplicate, make copy soft.
  • select particles use turbulence field and change attribute sets the value to get desired output. and set a expression in PHASE (in which direction you with water should flow)
  • create a locator.
  • select vertices -> locator >>> Point to poly constrain
  • select the object(ship/boat/any floating obj) and locator >> Hit "P" (parenting)
  • select the polygon edge and convert to curve so it will follow the same wave direction.




4.Car movement on slurry surface

  • Create a car model. 
  • Animate for a car.
  • create a plane with more divisions
    • soft bodies -> ◘Duplicate, make copy soft.
  • select particles and the car -> Make Collide [ R=0.010 , F=0.100]
  • In particles use attributes such as weight =0.1 and conserve 0.8
  • Create plane for ground.
  • select particles and ground plane -> Make Collide.
